One of the biggest dangers to our environment today is the increasing number of unused tires in the environment. We all know that tires are made of rubber and these pose a big threat to nature, if it is not disposed properly. Even, just dumping these tires in any dumpsites or free space could contaminate nearby water sources. Those, who decide to burn these rubbers, are making the worst decision. Heating rubber with normal heat will generate harmful chemical substances, like carbon and lead, which are really dangerous for humans. Dealing with rubber properly is not only advantageous to nature, but also to humans. It is really a good thing that some companies have discovered that heating rubber in extreme pressure would do the trick. First the steel and polyester strings of the tires are removed. After the heating process is over, you now have your reclaimed rubber that can be used for manufacturing different products or materials. There are a lot of industrial uses of this recycled rubber and some of these are for carpets, roadways, mulch and flooring. It can also be good for products that are usually seen at home, like decorative items, baskets and doormats. This just proves that there are still a lot of uses of the recycled rubber. When it comes to industrial uses, this reclaimed rubber is a lot cheaper than the virgin rubber. Also, they have good properties that are not present in the virgin rubber, thus, making it really good for products, like flooring. This is the reason why rubber floorings are really durable and are usually used by a lot of establishments today, like day care centers, gym and health centers. Also, as we all know, it consumes a lot of power to produce virgin rubber, which is not good for our power sources. Since we all know the importance of recycling rubber, now would be the right time that we do something to support the industry of reclaimed rubber. The first thing that you can do is to simply bring any unused tires from your home to companies or factories that recycle rubber. It would also help if you start a campaign in your area where unused rubbers would be collected and delivered to a certain company. This way, you are not only helping clean your place, but also you can earn some extra bucks. As much as possible, we need to make sure that we do something to help for solving the problem in our environment. This is not a concern of only a few, but a concern of everyone. Lastly, the community should support the reclaimed rubber industry by purchasing the products made from recycled rubber. Aside from being useful, these are also very much durable and of high quality, as compared to other same products available in the market. So, before you buy anything from the market, check first if the product you are looking for is available in reclaim rubber material. These small efforts that everyone would do could surely make a significant effect on our pursuit to address some problems of our environment.
