What is Yoga?

Maybe I am not the best person to be writing about either yoga or Phuket as I have not had the pleasure of experiencing either. I have seen many people gush on about the benefits of yoga but I am not the most co-ordinated person in the world so I decided against it as I did not want to end up looking like a prezel. But yoga is essentially a great way of keeping fit and a method of both exercise and relaxation and when you combine it with the splendid vistas and beautiful surroundings of Phuket, well, it starts to become more and more enticing. For those, like me, who have never experienced yoga, it is a form of physical, spiritual and mental disciplines which makes it a key addition to any program that a health retreat would offer. The purpose of yoga is a disciplined method for attaining a goal. This means that basically, in modern times, yoga is used as a form of exercise to reduce stress, promote health and increase spine suppleness. I have seen some yoga classes and I had to sit in awe and just watch as I saw just how contortioned the human body could make itself. There is no way I could do that but business was great from the turnout as everyone seemed to be enjoying it. There are varying levels of skills offered in yoga and I was witnessing a beginner class, I could not even dream what might be happening in one of the more advanced classes, I keep thinking of pretzels again. But yoga is not a stressful exercise. Attend any yoga classes in Phuket and you will see the gracefulness and lack of rush employed in each session. They say that in motor racing if you look like you are going slow you are actually going fast and the same could be applied to yoga. The body is treated with care and respect as it is the main instrument used in yoga exercises and these exercises help improve circulation, stimulate the abdominal organs, and put pressure on the glandular system of the body, which can generally result to better health Breathing techniques were developed based on the concept that breath is the source of life. In Yoga, students gain breathing control as they slowly increase their breathing. By focusing on their breathing, they prepare their minds for the next step - Meditation. As you can see there is a distinct flow to yoga and what is involved, it is not just about seeing how far you can bend as there is a whole philosophy being the system. There is a lot more to yoga than I can ever write in any article as you need to experience it yourself and see what your body is capable of and feel the benefits to really understand why this is fast becoming one of the most popular forms of exercise that you can do but you also have to be co-ordinated which I am not so I will just stick with running If you would like to know more about getting yoga Thailand, then please visit http://www.phuketcleanse.com/hot-yoga-phuket
