What is the benefit of using Nitrogen instead of regular air for tyres?

Nitrogen has several properties that make it desirable for use in tyres, such as lower density and boiling point than air (nitrogen has a higher molecular mass), which means nitrogen does not break down at high temperatures the way oxygen does. These properties make nitrogen ideal for use in car or motorcycle tyres, because they can be exposed to high temperatures without degrading like pure oxygen would.
