Alias is an American television series based on the genre of serial drama, action, thriller and science fiction. It was created by J.J. Abrams. Most of the episodes of this series were shot in Walt Disney Studios, Burbank, California under the Bad Robot Production Company. The series has completed five seasons with a total of 105 episodes. It aired on ABC for the first time on September 30, 2001 and last episode of the last season was aired on May 22, 2006.

The main cast of the series includes Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, Victor Garber as Jack Bristow, Ron Rifkin as Arvin Sloane, Michael Vartan as Michael Vaughn, Bradley Cooper as Will Tippin, Merrin Dungey as Francie Calfo, Carl Lumbly as Marcus Dixon, Greg Grunberg as Eric Weiss, Lena Olin as Irina Derevko and David Anders as Julian Sark were in lead. Other characters were in reoccurring roles. They didn’t appear regularly in all the episodes. The reoccurring characters are Emily Sloane, Anna Espinosa, Director Kendall, Dr. Judy Barnett, Katya Derevko, Hayden Chase and Elena Derevko.

The main plot of the show revolves around Sydney Bristow’s life. The character is played by Jennifer Garner. It portrays Sydney’s desire to keep the secret of the reality of her profession from her friends and family. She doesn’t wants any one should get to know about it. She makes a lot of efforts in hiding it. First two seasons were revolving around the main theme of the series. The main discovery in the program was when the artifacts created by Milo Rambaldi was recovered. Rambaldi is shown as a character that is similar in terms with that of Leonardo Da Vinci and Nostradamus.

The series has marked its place in American Film Institute’s top ten television show’s list in year 2003. The Empire, which is a British magazine, gave it a rank of 35 in its list of 50 Greatest Show’s of all times and it was remarked as an action packed adventurous show.

It was accepted well by the audiences and the critics as well. They gave Alias positive remarks. It has a lot of nominations and awards in its credit. It includes Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Saturn Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Television critics association Awards and many more. The series has been very high in rankings in all its seasons and always managed to get a higher spot in the rank charts.
