Bathroom is a place or a room which is equipped with facilities for taking bath. Bathroom is a place where accidents happen more often. Safety is nothing but taking prevention. Bathroom safety is one of the rank holders in the priority list. A safe bathroom reduces the injuries. Kids are fun loving creatures. No matter where they are and how they are. Even in the bathroom they do mischievous things which may be dangerous to them. To avoid these preventive measures should be taken.

Need of safety in bathroom

Bathroom falls are a significant health hazard to every one. A bathroom can also be called as a place where many diseases originate. So it should be kept neat and clean. To protect the child and to keep healthy preventive measures should be taken to make the bathroom safe. The bathroom should be a safe place to enter. Kids are the naughty and curious people; they might take out the harmful cleanser or any other toxic substance, which may be harmful to the child. There fore it is necessary to keep the bathroom safe.

Steps to make bathroom safe

To make the bathroom as a safer place few precautions must be taken. The water temperature should not be higher than 120 Fahrenheit. A tub-spout cover should be installed. Before bathing a baby the water used is tested. The slippery floor may be dangerous to the kid; therefore non skid rugs must be used. The toilet lids should be kept close as they can spread diseases. All the medicines and cleaning solutions which are harmful to the child are kept out of reach. The other appliances such curling irons, hair dryers, shavers should also be kept out of reach. The security latches are placed on the drawers and cupboards. The wastebasket should be kept away from the child's reach. All the medicines and supplements are treated as potential poisons to children.
Child safety locks can be used to lock all cabinets where medicines and personal items are placed. There should be a container to keep all the toxic substances. The children should be educated about the toxic substances.
