This not only involves the removal of the soil but also loosening the upper layer of the soil. This is very essential from the lawn growing point of view since the loosening of the soil will provide enough room for the grass root to establish firmly and deep in the soil. Loosening the soil also has other significant properties. For example loosening also helps in the retention of moisture and water within the soil for a comparatively longer duration of time. Loosened soil also helps in the better absorption of the fertilizers.
