Increase Bone and Muscle Strength

Arthritis is an illness of joints. It causes pain and swelling in the joints, which are the points where tow bones are connected. Arthritis though is largely seen in individuals aged between 40 to 60 years it can also occur in youths and children. There are various ways and treatments that help one to tackle the pain. However, for faster recovery and to prevent reoccurrence of the problem it is important that one takes care of his/her bones and strength. To combat the pain the joints it is very important to strengthen bones and muscles. There are three main approaches which will help to increase the strength of muscles and bones- diet, exercises, and medicine.

Diet to increase the strength of bones and muscles

Smooth functioning and well being of the body greatly relies on nutrients in the body and their supply. To make bones strong, calcium is a very crucial nutrient. Since bones are made of calcium, it acts as cement in strengthening them. Most dieticians recommend foods such milk, banana, and fresh leafy vegetables for calcium. Further, minerals are also vital for strengthening muscles and bones. To combat arthritis it is advisable to eat foods that are rich in minerals such as iron and magnesium. Vitamins act as anti oxidants, and help in reducing the inflammation in joints.

Exercising

Exercising is one of the best ways to enhance the strength of muscles and joints. There are different forms of exercise that help to combat arthritis. Yoga is one the most preferred way of exercise to increase the strength of muscles and bones. Yoga offers special postures that enhance flexibility of bones, thus reducing the chances of stiffness, which is a main symptom of arthritis. Similarly, one can also go for Ti-Chi, or even a regular morning and evening walk along with warm can be fine.

Medicine

Various herbs have been discovered that are good supplement of essential nutrients that help to enhance the strength of muscles and bones. Further, these herbs also have medicinal properties that are effective on pain arising due to arthritis.

Using the above three approaches can make the bones and muscles stronger, eventually curbing the problem of arthritis.
