What is Floating Fountain?

Floating fountains are mainly used in the pools and pond. They help to spray in oxygen and aerate the water. These fountains utilize submersible water pumps instead of propellers. Use of submersible pumps results in greater availability of spray patterns and spray heights. The floating fountains are made of materials that are resistant to corrosion and that are durable. The floating fountains for lakes and ponds operate from 4inch to 60-inch height and the power of the submersible pump is around ½ hp to 4-hp. There are many popular models of floating fountains. Some manufacturers also provide custom design to meet the requirement of the floating fountains. The floating fountains are available with many options such as wind controls, deluxe control centers, and lighting packages.

Types of Floating Fountain

Floating fountains provide aeration and circulation to break up thermal stratification. All units include a control panel and accept optional lighting.

1. Compact Floating Fountain

The compact floating fountain series have three models of ½ hp, ¾ hp and1 hp. The compact series have ten optional water patterns and operates in as little as 3 inch of water. The compact series is made of foam filled polyethylene float and has stainless steel water-cooled motor. The benefit of this series is that one gets a good performance at small price; the interchangeable patterns allow maximum flexibility. The water-cooled motor ensures long life.

2. Mid Series Floating Fountain

This series has the same design benefits of the compact series. However , the mid series have the pump model upto 2 hp. This results in larger sprays. This series have nine lights of various watts. This series has an optional color blender to switch light groups.

3. Max Series

The max series also has the same designs as the mid and compact series. The pump models include from 5hp to 15hp. The spray heights are over 100 ft and the lighting system has 4500 watts.
