 The Unit is an American action drama television show which was started by David Mamet. The initial episode was aired on March 7, 2006. The show was run on CBS networks in United States. The show listed 69 episodes in 4 seasons of its run with 42 minutes of its duration but it ended on May 10, 2009.
The story is all about a top secret military unit which is filmed on real life U.S Army and which is named as Delta Force. A fictional army post “Fort Griffth” is the main base on which programme is set. Other episodes of the serial shows scenes from Greenwood which includes the areas around Greenwood/Fort Grffith area and Greenwood local police cars and this area is located in southeast of Kansas City. The red, white and blue license plates are taken from the state of Idaho. 
The cast includes Dennis Haysbert who played for Sergeant Major, Jonas Blane, Molly Blane’s character was played by Regina Taylor. Bob Brown, who is Sergeant First Class was portrayed by Scott Foley, Audrey Marie Anderson played for Kim Brown. Master Sergeant, Mack Gerhardt by Max Martini, Abby Brammell as Tiffy Gerhardt, Michael Irby as Sergeant First Class, Charles Grey and many other lower level members.
The series shows the domestic and personal lives of the team members in their home, wives and girlfriends. The show was premiered in United States on CBS on March 7, 2006. The second season was aired on September 19, 2006. On September 25, 2007 the third season came out. The final season was broadcasted on September 28, 2008. 
The story is based on Eric L Haney’s book, Inside Delta Force: The Story of America’s Elite Counter terrorist Unit. The show includes David Marnet and Shawn Ryan as executive producers. The Barn Productions Inc., David Marnet Entertainment and Fire Ants Films in association with 20th Century Fox Television were the producers for the show. The Unit was premiered internationally in the United Kingdoms on Bravo, on the Seven Network in Australia, on La Sexta in Spain, on RTL 5 in The Netherlands, in Germany on Sat 1, in Bulharia on bTV, in Russia on DTV any many more TV channels in different cities. The theme music for the serial was given by Robert Duncan and it gave cadence name “Fired Up, Feels Good”. He also made “Walk the Fire”.
Shawn Ryan, he executive producer of the show said he would make whole new show as he is going to train some young people. Bob will train few people for the new organisation. The show received positive response with 15.5 million viewers with 14th rank in its first season which declined in every next season and in final season it gathered 10 million viewers with 43rd rank.
