If you're like a lot of women, you may feel desperate about getting rid of cellulite. Even though cellulite is fat, you don't have to be overweight to suffer. On the other hand, being overweight or letting your weight fluctuate can make it worse. An unhealthy diet and inactive lifestyle are contributing factors. For some people, hormonal contraceptives and dehydration can play a role too. Regular exercise and a healthy diet are the cheapest ways to combat cellulite. Strengthening your muscles, increasing circulation to your skin and maintaining a healthy weight may not eliminate all cellulite but it will make your skin look better. While you can't spot reduce, you can target muscles in your problem areas to help your skin look smoother. You may see books advertising miraculous cellulite diets but just eating more fresh produce and cutting down on junk food will improve your skin.

If you're tempted to try more expensive solutions like creams or laser therapy, research your options carefully before laying out any cash. You could easily wind up spending thousands of dollars on approaches that have risk or can prove any discomfort on your part. For now, lasers and radiofrequency therapy seem to offer temporary improvements while creams with caffeine or retinol deliver similar but more modest results. Most women may have to choose between spending a lot of money or looking for other way to reduce cellulite without spending too much.
