Trying to design a brand mark for your business? Why not use an animal logo?

They are cute, eye catching and classic.

Think for five minutes and I'm sure you'll be able to come up with at least 10 famous brands easily that have used mammal or bird images in their company trademark images.

So why are all these brands using mammals and birds in their brand images?

Different mammals represent different qualities. Associating those qualities with your brand can help you convey that message to your customers without the use of words.

Here are some great ideas for using mammals and birds in your company image:

1. Eagle:

This bird is known for its power, authority and domination. An eagle is perfect to represent your brand if you want to tell your customer who the boss is. For a political party or an airline corporation you can use an image of an eagle with its wings out stretched. Or you can use an image of a red eyed fierce eagle for your university sports team to intimidate your opponents.

2. Cats:

Cats are known to be clever, shrewd, sleek and stylish. Of course, this group also includes lions, cheetahs and leopards who have been ruling the business pictorial world like a lion rules a jungle. Many famous companies that have used cats in their brand marks are Puma, jaguar and MGM. Cats are perfect as company trademark image if you want to portray the message of speed, dominance, supremacy and style through your company trade mark design. For example, for a women's foot wear design, you can use an illustration of a stylish cat.

3. Horses:

Horses symbolize nobility, power, grace and freedom due to which two famous brands, Ford and Ferrari have used horse symbols in their brand image. But you can also use horse in any other business image besides the car industry. For a ranch, you can use an image of a horse running wild in the field. Similarly, for a gents clothing line, you can use an illustrated image of an arrogant looking horse.

4. Dogs:

Popularly known as a man's best friend, a dog is famous for its loyalty, friendship and watch guarding. It is a universal animal logo if you want to portray the message of trust and dependability to your target audience. For example, if you are designing a brand mark for an animal center you can use a paw print of a dog. Similarly, for a home inspections company, you can use the illustration of an alert Labrador standing guard.

5. Fish:

They may be small but the impact they create can certainly be big. Using Fish can make your trade mark design look cute, creative and imaginative. Not only are fish images perfect to represent the aquatic world, but it is also appropriate for a restaurant, a technological company or an advertising agency. For example, for a restaurant, you can use an illustration of fish skeleton in the brand name. Similarly, for a technological company, you can use a colorful 3 dimensional image of fish.
