All of us are embracing a cashless life; we swipe our cards to buy our groceries, lunch, and a cuppo-coffee. But recently, there were few incidents reported by US Investigating Authorities, which may curtail the cashless splurge in our life. Data thieves are quite eager to exploit the United States consumer's dependency on plastic money — by targeting the keypads that we use carelessly while swiping our cards in.

The vigilance authorities in number of states in US have reported incidents of an emerging hi-tech crime : Where crooks have replaced the key pads at the shopping stores. And the newly rigged in key pads records the credit cards numbers and the personal password of the customers. And the same crooks returned later to the shopping stores to collect the keypads they have installed. These key pads intercept data to withdraw large amount money from the bank accounts of store patrons.

"Hmm, this is surprising, we can't use internet for safe transactions, we can't use credit cards and now not even debit cards. I think we have to revert back to the yesteryears of carrying those bloated wallets of hard-cash in our pockets. This situation is really serious. What are the banks doing? They have to get better at identifying the vulnerabilities in the security system. If they can't then they must stop catering these services to their customer's." said Mr. Raj Arora , Miracle Studios .
