Eyebrow linerAuthor: . The Need of Eyebrow linerQuite a few women observe that their eyebrow looses hair with age. This happens due to hormonal and/or chemical alterations. An Eyebrow liner is used to fill the meager eyebrows as well as provide a proper shape for the disorderly ones. It re-shapes and emphasizes the eyebrow into a natural look, which is retained until further changes are done. It is also useful if accidentally the eyebrows are overplucked. The plucked eyebrows require a large period of time to grow back and during this time the eyebrow liner comes in handy. Application of Eyebrow liner The Eyebrow liner has to be used before the eye shadow and/or mascara are applied. Before applying eyebrow liner, brush the eyebrows with an eyebrow brush to remove the extraneous face powder or foundation. Some eyebrow liners have a tapered hairbrush, which is used to apply color to the eyebrow. The strokes must be short and of a hair length. The eyebrow liner must be shaken horizontally before using it. After the color is applied, the brush end is to be used to do away with the excess color to achieve a natural and hair-like look. This procedure is repeated until the required color concentration is attained. The eyebrow liner should not erase or diminish due to perspiration. If an eyebrow pencil is used as an eyebrow liner, then smoothen the hairs in the direction in which they grow by applying outward brush strokes. Then outline each eyebrow by short and light strokes of the eyebrow pencil from the arch to the end. Then fill in the thin areas using similar strokes. Now use the eyebrow brush to mix the strokes and provide a homogenous look. If the application is erroneous, it can be corrected by the use of cotton tipped swab and a makeup remover. Selection of an Eyebrow liner Eyebrow liner is available to create a faint or bold look. It is available in light and dark shades and colors like auburn, blondi, brunette, cherokee, dove and taupe. The selected color should never be darker than that of the eyebrows or hair color. The makeup of a woman is not thorough without the use of an Eyebrow liner. Its absence may provide a very weird and abnormal look. |
