Enjoy Sweet Treats While On a Diet

Who doesn’t love sweets? I admit I can’t resist the yumminess of cakes, chocolates and ice cream.

It is a fact that indulging yourself with these yummy sweets will make you end up with plenty of calories. You can soon be overweight or obese if you eat these treats every day.

But if you have a system or knowledge on how to enjoy these sweets while on the diet, then good for you.

Actually, there are ways for you to still enjoy sweet treats while on a diet, here’s how:

First, you have to check on the amount of calories that is in the sweet treat that you are about to eat. You have to note that only about 200 to 300 calories per day is reasonable enough to take.

Do not overeat. You have to eat only a portion of your sweet treats. Come up with a portion control in order for you to assure that you won’t end up eating more. Luckily, there are already sweets that are packed in a small pouch for one serving only such as Chips Ahoy, Oreos, Kit Kat, Cadbury, and so on. These chocolate bars or cookies come with few calories only, so eating them won’t destroy your diet.

Also, there are sugar-free sweet treats now. So you can buy and have them without the worry of having too much calories. Buying these can satisfy your small cravings, but I advise you not to take too much of these.

Burning extra calories is a must in order for you to lose weight. And you can do this by exercising or doing physical activities such as jogging, walking, dancing, etc. you can allocate 30 minutes to an hour each day in doing any physical activity that you love doing.

Here are some example of physical activities that you can do and how many calories that you can burn:

If you run up and down the stairs for 15 minutes, you can burn 220 calories.

If you rake your lawn for about 30 minutes, you can burn 117 calories.

If you play bowling for an hour, you can burn 175 calories.

If you swim for 10 minutes, you can burn 100 calories.
